I have been eyeing this place ever since my last 5 guys experience (it is right next door). It sits right off Lincoln near Yosemite where they have built all those shops near the ginormous Super Target. The good: - Its friendly! They greet every person with a loud "Welcome to the Firehouse"! in unison. Plus the kiddos had little plastic firehats on - cute freebie. - Subs are fresh and warm (they mostly do hot subs). - They have every type of hot sauce on the planet (exaggeration) for your condiment needs! The So-So: - The "welcome" greeting gets really old at lunch time after you hear it 10 times. - They were really slow, it took like 10m to get my sandwich with only 2 people ahead of me and then they forgot to make it to go (so it took even longer). Maybe it is because they are heated? No idea, but if it was any busier it would have sucked. I had the Hook & Ladder Fully Loaded (turkey, ham, Monterey Jack & loaded complete with mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato, onion, and a dill spear on the side). It was great and I love that they serve it warm. The bread was nice and soft and the pickle was really garlicky! I spent about $6+change for a medium which isn't cheap, but doesn't strike me as expensive either. It makes a good lunch spot - if I have the time to wait!

It's so nice to have an alternative sandwich spot in the food desert that is Suburbia. Especially a delicious spot like Firehouse! This place fills up quickly for lunch, so be prepared to come early or eat back at your desk. Regardless of your decision, any of the sandwiches will be well worth your wait. The one thing I could do without? The cheesy greeting "Welcome to Firehouse!!!" that the employees force down your throat as you walk into the joint. I like attention, but not that much.

I am pretty picky about my sandwiches and oh dang! They nailed it! The place was super full but still super fast and friendly! The hot sauce choices are unbelievable. Great company for a great cause!!!

Sad to do it, but Firehouse failed miserably recently and guaranteed I will never go there again. You can go there, and it won't be the worst food/experience, but it will never be the best either. There is nothing exceptional about this place. I had done a prepaid online order for pick up the next day for my office. Realized a few hours after I ordered that I needed to cancel two of the sandwiches. I called the store to inquire how to modify or cancel the online order, and after being rudely spoken to and told that no one who worked there knew how, I was hung up on. To be fair, after I complained to their customer service department, I did ultimately end up speaking to the general manager. But the only thing she did was apologize, I had already spoken to a store manager the next morning who was in fact able to cancel my order. The GM calling was more of a PR move than an actual move to make the situation better; appreciated but it kind of fell flat. When we picked up our sandwiches, they offered a free sub card as a peace offering. Hey thanks. Problem was when we got our sandwiches back to the office they had managed to ignore all instructions to leave off certain items like onions from all the sandwiches as requested. That was the final straw. Don't give me such an incredibly bad experience then compound it was incorrectly made food. Oh, and I tried their under 500 calorie siracha beef sandwich, instead of my normal meatball sub, and it was pretty gnarly. The quality of the roast beef was horrible: chewy and fatty. Another reason why I'm no longer a fan.

I've tried the Turkey bacon ranch , New York steamer, and beef & cheddar brisket on different occasions. Firehouse makes some pretty damn good sammies. They've got decent prices and portion sizes that are more than sufficient to feed a fireman. Aside from their meat-filled subs, they have a huge selection of hot sauces! If you're a hot sauce guy (or gal), you can try out new flavors without buying a whole bottle! I love that! Firehouse is a standby on the work-lunch-list. It's not gourmet, but I'm perfectly ok with that!

Great food. But took 28 min from time of ordering the sandwiches to receiving them. Only one guy making them (busting his ass), one guy taking orders. Hey management/franchise owner... Hire some more help during the lunch rush!! A lot of mad clients today.

I am a sucker for a good sandwich. With Firehouse being up the road from my job and the convenient online ordering system this place makes for a good place for my sandwich fix. I absolutely love the Turkey Bacon Ranch it awesome! Simple but great. My coworker always gets the Hook and Ladder which I can say always looks pretty tasty. They give you a pickle spear with each sandwich. I'm not a huge fan of pickles, but every now and again I will go for it and the ones they have are good! Firehouse also has the Coke Freestyle soda machine. It gives you tons of options and ways to customize your beverage experience. The other great thing is if you do eat in the restaurant they have a whole array of hot sauces at the counter for you to try. The staff at Firehouse is overall very friendly and accommodating. I think my only drawback is that they are required to greet you with, "welcome to Firehouse!" when you walk-in. More often than not this just comes off forced.

The service was just fine, however the sandwich (chicken salad) was quite possibly the worst sandwich I've ever tried. Just bad all around. Maybe the other options are better, but based off of what I tried to eat tonight, I won't be going back.

Maybe it's because I'm from California and the greatest sandwich shop we have is Subway and Quiznos, but this chain definitely smashes the others. I highly recommend the Italian but any sandwich from this shop will probably knock your socks off! At this particular store, the service was decent. Took a little while to get my sandwich but not too long. And I didn't mind since I could plainly see that they were toasting my bread and I warming up the meat as well. I have been to a few firehouse subs since and they all have the great sandwiches I've come to love and expect. Plus they have like a gazillion hot sauces to choose from if it so fits your fancy. Definitely look forward to my road trips so I can try to stop at a firehouse along the way.

I'm shocked this place doesn't have 4.5 to 5 stars. I was trying to talk my girlfriend into going to Five Guys and she said she wanted to go get a sub. I wanted to be with her so we came here. This was maybe two months ago, and we have been back about 10 times. The meat melts in your mouth, soda machine is awesome, and the staff is always very friendly. I highly recommend going here. Even a plain old turkey sub is good, and this is coming from someone who loves to try crazy things.

First time here and will be back again. A little pricier than a Quiznos but not by much. And a whole lot better IMO. And I'm a fan of Quiznos. Great fireman themed decor. Good kids options too. Plus they get a fire hat! Highly recommended.

This review is directed more towards the managing staff and less towards the Firehouse chain or customers. I absolutely love Firehouse and frequently place large orders (no more than five sandwiches) for my office at lunch. Today was the first day I used the online system, and I was disappointed in the aftermath. I went to pick up the sandwiches I had paid for online and was in a bit of a rush (hence the pre-ordering). They had left out one of the sandwiches and told me I didn't order it until I showed them the receipt I had printed out that stated otherwise. I was then asked to pay for the $50 a second time, and still can't believe the look I got from the girl behind the counter when I wouldn't give her my CC. Not sure if this is an issue with the online ordering system or an internal problem. It should be addressed. Not once did I get an apology for having to wait 15 extra minutes for a to-go order placed an hour earlier. This is obviously not a big enough complaint for me to stop using Firehouse - I have never had a bad interaction at this branch otherwise - but I want to managing staff to realize that this business is in the service industry. It is the duty of the hiring staff to bring employees on that will create pleasant interactions with the customers as opposed to telling them they are wrong and shooting them dirty looks. Shape up or you may just start to lose customers to the Park Meadows branch.

Well this is difficult for me because I really like the subs HOWEVER, at this location in particular the staff can't seem to get it together to hand out the right food! I order on line due to working and being busy and I expect that when I come in I get what I ordered. I can't even tell you how many times that they have sent me out with subs that don't have the ingredients I asked for or have something I didn't even want. They have sent coupons out once to comp me for their mistakes but once doesn't cover the at least 4 mistakes I have had 6 times I have eaten there. I had a sliver of metal in one sandwich which I was advised was from cleaning the meat machine.. really?! good you clean the machine but how did you miss a piece of METAL in someone's food?! This last time I ordered for a group on line and went in paid and checked to see if I had 3 sandwiches which I did but when we opened the food they weren't what we ordered. I called in and NOT to my surprise they advised me they handed me the wrong bag.. come on people, this isn't rocket science. I am fed up with this place so despite the fact that the food is great, the staff can't seem to focus on good customer service so I will be taking my business elsewhere. If you do eat here I recommend ordering in person because it's clear from my standpoint they can't read a ticket when it's placed on line.

We went here recently for lunch and they were absolutely packed, like everything else in this area is. The service was quick and the subs came out fairly quickly, given how busy they were. They also yelled out "Welcome to Firehouse" to everyone who came thru the door, which was both cute and annoying at the same time. My sub was all right, altho for a $10 sub lunch you really want it to blow you away.

Firehouse was more like a house on fire....not good...it was recommended that I try the Turkey Bacon Ranch...so I did...and I wish I hadn't...bland bland bland....I mean ZERO flavor...not even from the ranch..the hubby had the BBQ sub....it was better than mine..but not worth 10.00...and the pickles...WAYYYY to much garlic..didn't even finish mine and I love pickles......the obnoxious greeting that I had to hear at least 10 times did me in completely...this is a glorified Quiznos......yuck..

Very friendly staff, a great Cola dispenser that allows you up to 120 choices, good food, AND a hot sauce bar with ratings from 1 to 10. HOWEVER, the 4th star is not forth coming as $5.50 for a veggie sandwich is a bit steep when veggie means cheese, mushrooms, and peppers, and then add the fully loaded. Meat sandwiches are like 40 cents more. The husband thought his Italian combo was a little thin for the $7.75ish price. Otherwise, a good spot to stop for lunch if in the area.

    (3)
  • Dustin E.

Italian. Extra meat. YUM!! Great sandwiches, great bread. Love the hot sauce selection. I've tried a few of the subs. Each one I've tried has been yummy.

OK, after my 2nd visit, I've decided they earned the 4th star. The sandwiches are really good here and overall value is pretty decent. The ordering/service line in this place is confusing (probably because it's so small in there!) because you have to push through waiting customers to get to the order cashier. HINT: Ask one of the guys behind the sandwich making wall for suggestions before you get to the cashier. *They are very good at telling you what to order. Both times I came it wasn't too busy (4 or 5 orders ahead of me) but still took over 10 minutes to get my order. That isn't as much of a concern for me as long as I get great food at a good value. Most sandwiches are toasted a la Quiznos style but better tasking. Philly Steak sandwich is good but remember to get w/o the onions because they are a vinegary sweet kind that throw the taste off. *Per suggestion, I had the Loaded Engine which wasn't on the menu but turned out to be great; Ham & Turkey with swiss on wheat w/ light mayo & mustard. Oh, and HINT #2, make sure to ask them to use the Romaine Salad lettuce instead of the bland and tasteless shredded iceberg crap. So, I think you can see where I'm going with this review. It takes a few visits and asking many questions to figure them out. The overall value is pretty good and they are cheaper than Which Wich and better quality than either Quiznos or Subway. Beware of lunch rush where it can get kind of crazy.

I cannot provide feedback on the food here due to the simple fact that you must be recognized and acknowledged as a paying customer in order to place an order and this is where my feedback begins and ends. There were 3 staff members behind the counter and I was one of 4 customers in the whole restaurant. I walked in right behind a couple who were looking at the menu board and deciding. Meanwhile, I walked up to the counter under the Place Order Here sign only to be ignored by the cashier who was unable to ring up a customer order without the help of who I think was her manager (who also ignored me), while the sandwich maker proceeded to chat up the indecisive couple and refusing to acknowledge my presence and the fact I was actually ready to place an order. This went on for a good 2-3 minutes which may not seem like a long time but it actually is when you are a) hungry and b) have the decent sense to know when you are being disregarded or maybe discriminated against. After all, I was the only minority in the restaurant. So I took my lunch business next store to Five Guys Burgers and Fries, which offered amazing food and friendly, welcoming staff who clearly weren't rude bigots like their neighbors. Looking for a hot sub? Go to Quiznos...

Not bad food, a little long to get it made though

Fairly decent subs. I like the decor. There isn't anything that makes this stand out from the competitors though.
